JSSPS Cadet Wins Double Bronze at IWF World Youth Weightlifting Championship

Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS), supported by Central Coal Fields Ltd (CCL), aims to promote sports in coal-bearing states.

Babulal Hembrom, a cadet of the Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS), has secured two bronze medals at the IWF World Youth Weightlifting Championship. Competing in Lima, Peru, Babulal clinched third place in the 49 kg Snatch and Clean & Jerk categories.

Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS), supported by Central Coal Fields Ltd (CCL), aims to promote sports in coal-bearing states. Approximately 500 athletes receive training and formal education at the prestigious Ranchi campus. Babulal's achievement highlights the efforts of CCL and the Coal Ministry in fostering a sports culture in these regions. Additionally, the Coal Ministry plans to establish "Centres of Excellence in Sports" in each of its seven subsidiaries under a CSR initiative.
