Premier Indian doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have slid to third place in the latest Badminton World Federation rankings, published on Tuesday. The pair had recently withdrawn from their title defence at the Indonesia Open, leading to a slip in their standings.

China’s Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang have ascended to the No.1 spot in men's doubles, displacing the former top pair. Denmark's Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, who made significant strides, now hold the second position.

The Indian duo recaptured the No.1 ranking by winning the Thailand Open in May, but their subsequent loss of form saw them exit in the first round of the Singapore Open last month. They have also withdrawn from the ongoing Australian Open.
