The Philadelphia 76ers are still playing the waiting game for an update on the possible return of guard Markelle Fultz, the former No. 1 overall draft pick who is battling a nerve condition.

Coach Brett Brown is expecting to learn more in the next few weeks about Fultz, who has been diagnosed with neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome, a compression of nerves that can hinder movement in the arm, shoulder and hand.

General manager Elton Brand also said Saturday that he was waiting to hear more about Fultz's status and that he doesn't have a timeline for the player's return, multiple media outlets were reporting.

Fultz, who played only 14 games in his rookie season due to a shoulder injury, has played in 19 games this season, averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
