Tadej Pogacar showcased his climbing prowess in the Pyrenees, clinching victory in Sunday's 15th stage of the Tour de France. The Slovenian rider rode solo for a picturesque 198-kilometer (123-mile) stretch from Loudenvielle to Plateau De Beille.

Pogacar dropped Jonas Vingegaard on the final climb, crossing the finish line one minute and eight seconds ahead of his closest rival. This marks his third stage win in this year's Tour and his second consecutive victory.

Vingegaard attacked with just over 10 km left, but Pogacar stayed close, eventually overtaking the Dane with 5.3 km to go. “I never imagined this kind of outcome,” Pogacar said, acknowledging the day’s heat and challenges. The Slovenian cyclist extended his overall lead to three minutes and nine seconds.

Such was Pogacar's dominance that only 36 riders completed the stage within half an hour of his finish. Rest day on Monday, the Tour will resume on Tuesday with stage 16, a 189km flat ride from Gruissan to Nimes.
