Anjum Moudgil, who was left out of the Indian team for last year's Asian Games and the World Championships, has secured a berth for the Paris Olympics by overcoming significant mental challenges. The 30-year-old former world number one, a medallist at both the World Championships and Commonwealth Games, saw this setback as an opportunity to improve her mental toughness and training focus.

"Three years after Tokyo was a roller-coaster ride for me. I have seen tough times but I wanted to come back stronger," said Moudgil during a virtual media interaction. She highlighted her mental training and the positive impact of the IOC's new Mentally Fit Helpline, a confidential service for athletes.

Moudgil will compete in the women's 50m 3 position event in Paris. She expressed confidence in her team's preparation and readiness for the upcoming event at the National Shooting Center in Châteauroux, France. "There is high competition in my event, and it really helped me to push my limits," she added.
