Deepika Kumari stands at the crossroads of motherhood and Olympic aspirations, balancing her life between caring for her 19-month-old daughter, Vedika, and her quest for an Olympic medal. Demonstrating immense resilience, she has managed to harmonize these dual aspects of her life, leading her to the Paris Games for the fourth time.

Deepika's dedication was clear when she spent two months away from her daughter to prepare for the ultimate sporting event. Her husband, Atanu Das, also an international archer, brought Vedika to Pune's Army Sports Institute just before Deepika left for Paris, marking an emotional moment for the athlete.

After giving birth in December 2022, Deepika faced physical challenges, including muscle stiffness that hindered her ability to lift her bow. Through gradual training and the support of legendary Korean coach Kim Hyung-Tak, she rediscovered her form, earning a silver at the Shanghai World Cup and excelling in national trials. Now, Deepika prepares to face formidable opponents in Paris, drawing strength from her past successes and remaining focused on her goals.
