Sergio Perez recognised he had a 'massive job' on his hands after crashing in qualifying for the second race in a row at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday, heightening pressure on the Red Bull driver.

Despite taking only 15 points in the last six races, and with his future as a teammate to Formula One triple world champion Max Verstappen being increasingly questioned, Perez remains determined. Red Bull's worry over their constructors' title defence is amplified as McLaren emerges as a threat. Speculations loom that Perez could be replaced after the August break.

'It hurts to let your whole team down, but at the end of the day I'm determined more than ever to get back where we belong as a team,' Perez told Sky Sports. The incident, which halted the session, saw Perez spin into the barriers following a light rain, though he emerged unhurt.
