The Texas Super Kings emerged victorious in the final league match of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024, defeating the Seattle Orcas by 37 runs at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Tuesday. Calvin Savage's all-round performance was key to their success.

Despite impressive opening efforts from Quinton de Kock and Shehan Jayasuriya, the Seattle Orcas could not keep up with the disciplined bowling attack of the Texas Super Kings. Led by Ottneil Bartmann's 3/20, Noor Ahmad's 2/19, and Savage's 2/23, the Orcas' chase was dismantled, ending at 140/9.

Earlier, the Texas Super Kings batted first and posted a competitive total of 177/8, bolstered by key contributions from Faf Du Plessis (39), Calvin Savage (45*), and Cameron Stevenson. Keemo Paul led the Orcas' effort with the ball, taking 2/18, but his efforts were insufficient to prevent a Super Kings victory.
