India's Balraj Panwar progressed to the quarterfinals of the men's single sculls rowing competition at the Paris Olympics after clocking 7:12.41 to finish second in Repechage 2 behind Mongolia's Quentin Antognelli.
Panwar maintained a consistent performance, crossing the 500m mark at 1:44:13, the 1000m mark at 3:33:94, and the 1500m mark at 5:23:22 before finishing the 2000m race in 7:12.41.
Earlier, Panwar had secured a place in the repechage round by finishing fourth in the men's singles scull event with a timing of 7:07:11.
