On Sunday, a resilient Manu Bhaker ended India's 13-year wait for a shooting medal in the Olympics by securing a bronze in the 10m air pistol event at the Paris Games.
This marks India's first shooting medal since the 2012 London Olympics, where Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang clinched bronze medals in their respective events.
Despite two Olympics without a medal, 22-year-old Bhaker fought hard to secure her place on the podium with a score of 221.7. Korea's Kim Yeji won silver with 241.3, and her compatriot Jin Ye Oh claimed gold with a Games record of 243.2.
