Tokyo Olympics bronze-winner Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Paris Games after securing a comfortable win against Norway's Sunniva Hofstad on Wednesday.

Borgohain emerged victorious with a 5-0 score, maintaining her trajectory for a second consecutive Olympic medal.

The reigning world champion, who previously won her Tokyo bronze in the 69kg category, is set to clash with top-seeded Chinese boxer Li Qian in the quarterfinals on August 4. Qian earned a silver medal in the middleweight (75kg) division during the Tokyo Games.
