Nikhat Zareen Faces Major Setback in Olympic Boxing

Two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen faced a major upset in the Olympic Games boxing competition, losing 0-5 to Asian Games gold-medallist Wu Yu. Despite her history of consistent performance, including gold medals at world championships, Nikhat was outclassed by Yu’s footwork and strategy.

In a stunning upset, two-time world boxing champion Nikhat Zareen was defeated 0-5 by Wu Yu, Asian Games gold-medallist, in the Olympic Games on Thursday.

The unseeded Indian boxer struggled to find her rhythm as Yu's impeccable footwork disrupted her attacks from the opening round.

Despite some moments of success in the second round, Nikhat ultimately couldn't overcome Yu's agility, bowing out of the competition. However, her illustrious career, featuring multiple gold medals, remains highly commendable.
