Archer Deepika Kumari has vowed not to quit her Olympic journey without a medal, setting her sights on the Los Angeles 2028 Games. While Kumari has won numerous international accolades, the Olympic podium has eluded her.
In an exclusive interview with PTI at the India House, she expressed her determination to continue competing. "I really want to win an Olympic medal, and I won't quit until I achieve that. I'll train harder and come back strongly," Kumari said.
Having made a return after becoming a mother, Kumari participated in her fourth consecutive Olympics in Paris. Despite a disappointing team event performance, she showcased resilience by making a commendable run to the quarterfinals in the individual category.
Going forward, she aims to learn quick shooting to avoid past mistakes and focus on training under pressure situations. With the next goal set on LA 2028, Kumari is committed to mental and physical preparation.
