Dalton Papali'i Re-Signs with New Zealand Rugby Until 2027

All Blacks loose forward Dalton Papali'i has re-signed with New Zealand Rugby, committing his future to the team until the 2027 Rugby World Cup, NZR announced on Monday. The 26-year-old player, who has 34 tests under his belt, also renewed his contract with Super Rugby Pacific's Auckland Blues.

All Blacks Head Coach Scott Robertson praised Papali'i as a 'world-class loose forward,' highlighting his physicality, work rate, and versatility. 'He works hard every day in our environment and continues to grow as a leader and player. Having Dalton in New Zealand for the next three years is a great result,' Robertson said.

Papali'i expressed that staying in New Zealand was an easy decision. 'I'm loving my footy right now at every level and home is where the heart is,' he stated. 'It's great to have certainty about the next few years but right now my full focus is on the Rugby Championship and contributing to the All Blacks in 2024.' New Zealand is set to begin their Rugby Championship title defense against Argentina on August 10.
