After narrowly missing out on India’s first Olympic medal in archery, Ankita Bhakat remains optimistic about future success. She vowed that their performance will improve next time. Ankita and Dhiraj Bommadevara came agonizingly close to ending India's medal drought in archery, but fell short in the bronze medal match in the mixed team event.

Despite making history by reaching the semi-finals at the Olympics, their arrows faltered in the pivotal moment. The Indian team lost 6-2 against the American duo, Casey and Brandy. Ankita, however, focused on the positives, stating, “I am happy that we made it to the semi-finals. We will analyze our performance with our coach and be more confident and bold next time.”

Bhajan Kaur, another Indian archer, also came close to making history. She was just one shot away from the quarter-finals, losing narrowly in the shoot-off against Indonesia’s Diananda Choirunisa. Reflecting on her experience, Bhajan vowed to avoid past mistakes in future attempts. India's archery challenge at the Paris Olympics concluded without a medal.
