The final day of the Paris Olympics is upon us with both the United States and China vying for the top spot on the medals table. More than a dozen gold medals are still up for grabs with events like the women's marathon and wrestling offering high stakes competition.

The United States asserted dominance on the track, winning both men's and women's 4x400 meters relays. The American women's team clinched their victory with the second-quickest time in history, while the men narrowly defeated Botswana.

In basketball, the U.S. crushed French hopes with a 98-87 win led by Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Meanwhile, Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting won a contentious boxing gold, and Kenya's Faith Kipyegon triumphed in the 1,500 meters, securing her third Olympic gold in the event.
