Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer asserted on Sunday that the Indian pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj hold the key for a potential hat-trick of Test series victories against Australia. The eagerly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy kicks off with the First Test in Perth from November 22 to November 26.

In response to a fan's inquiry about India's chances this year, Jaffer emphasized the critical role of the fitness and availability of Bumrah, Shami, and Siraj. He also noted that Arshdeep Singh could add a left-arm pace option, while IPL sensation Mayank Yadav, despite some injury setbacks, remains a 'dark horse' if he regains fitness ahead of the series.

'If Bumrah, Shami, and Siraj stay fit and play most of the series, India has a great opportunity for a hat-trick down under. Arshdeep could add a left-arm option. And Mayank Yadav could be the dark horse, provided he's fit and available,' Jaffer remarked. The second Test in Adelaide features an exciting day-night format from December 6 to 10, followed by crucial matches in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, making for an action-packed series.
