Chelsea Acquires Pedro Neto in Blockbuster Deal

Chelsea has signed Portuguese winger Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a seven-year contract for a reported 54 million pounds. Neto, who previously played for Braga and Lazio, has made 135 appearances for Wolves and earned 10 caps for Portugal. Chelsea has now signed nine players this transfer window.

Chelsea has secured the services of Portuguese winger Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a seven-year deal, the West London club announced on Sunday. While financial specifics were not revealed, British media estimate the deal to be worth 54 million pounds, including add-ons.

Neto, 24, boasts 135 appearances for Wolves, tallying 14 goals and 24 assists since his 2019 arrival from Braga. He also has experience in Serie A with Lazio and has earned 10 caps for Portugal, featuring in all three of their group-stage matches at the European Championship in Germany.

Expressing his excitement, Neto said, "I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I'm looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt." Notably, Chelsea has already added nine players this transfer window and will face Manchester City in their Premier League opener on Aug. 18.
