Brandt Snedeker Joins U.S. Ryder Cup Team as Vice Captain
Brandt Snedeker will serve as a vice captain for Keegan Bradley on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. A nine-time PGA Tour winner, Snedeker brings invaluable experience to Bradley's team. The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York will mark Snedeker's first stint as a vice captain.
Brandt Snedeker will serve as one of Keegan Bradley's vice captains on the U.S. Ryder Cup team, as announced by the PGA of America on Monday. Snedeker boasts nine PGA Tour victories and was named the tour's rookie of the year in 2007. He joins former U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson as Bradley's vice captain.
Bradley, who was appointed captain in July, expressed his enthusiasm in a news release, stating, 'As I've started preparing for the 2025 Ryder Cup, I quickly realized that Brandt was someone I wanted by my side. Having competed in two Ryder Cups, including a stellar performance in 2016, Brandt's experience and insight will surely be beneficial to our team in the months ahead.'
This will be Snedeker's first role as a vice captain in the biennial event. The 43-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, has a 4-2-0 record in Ryder Cup play, including an undefeated 3-0-0 run in 2016. 'The Ryder Cup is unlike anything in our sport and I hope to bring passion and pride to help Keegan deliver his vision of a Ryder Cup in New York,' Snedeker commented. 'I'm excited to work with my good friend Webb and will do everything in our power to prepare the team for a great competition next September at Bethpage Black.'
Additional vice captains will be announced at a later date.
