Mumbai City FC (MCFC) has energized their pre-season preparations under the direction of head coach Petr Kratky in Bangkok, Thailand, starting July 28.
Ahead of the Indian Super League (ISL) season, MCFC is scheduled to play a friendly against Vietnamese side LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC on August 21. The team enters this season following a successful 2023-2024 campaign, securing the ISL Cup and finishing with their highest-ever points tally, closely trailing Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
Mumbai City FC showcased their strength last season with a league-best goal difference and top defensive record, conceding the fewest goals. Goalkeeper Phurba Lachenpa earned the Golden Glove. The team's offensive depth was evident with 16 different goal scorers, including emerging star Vikram Partap Singh.
Strategic signings this season include Brandon Fernandes, Hitesh Sharma, Jeremy Manzorro, and Jon Toral. Key defensive extension for Syrian Thaer Krouma ensures stability. Promising youth, Supratim Das, has also been secured. Despite Durand Cup struggles, the team braces for a promising ISL campaign.
