Yoane Wissa Leads Brentford to Narrow Victory

Yoane Wissa's close-range finish gave Brentford a winning start to their Premier League campaign, sealing a 2-1 home victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Crystal Palace appeared to score first after 26 minutes when Eberechi Eze's impressive free-kick found the net, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul by Will Hughes on Nathan Collins. Brentford capitalized on the decision when Bryan Mbuemo scored just three minutes later, following a setup by Wissa.

Despite the absence of star striker Ivan Toney, Brentford's attack held strong. A fortunate winner came in the 76th minute when Wissa tapped in a loose ball after a save by Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson. Brentford withstood late pressure to secure the victory and all three points.
