New Delhi, August 19, 2024 – Anilkumar, newly appointed Secretary General of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), has committed to elevating India's FIFA Rankings and enhancing the quality of football across the nation.

Welcomed by AIFF officials at the Football House, Anilkumar expressed gratitude for his appointment on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan. He acknowledged the significant responsibility and underscored the importance of teamwork with member associations and stakeholders.

Highlighting India's current FIFA ranking of 124th, Anilkumar stressed the need for substantial improvements. He outlined plans to collaborate with club owners, investors, AFC, and FIFA to identify shortcomings and devise a long-term strategy. Emphasizing quality enhancement, he predicted that better gameplay would attract more spectators and viewership, ultimately benefiting all facets of Indian football.
