Ipswich Town has successfully signed Swedish midfielder Jens Cajuste on a season-long loan from Napoli, as announced by the newly promoted Premier League club late Monday. Cajuste, aged 25, has earned 23 caps for Sweden and made 26 appearances for the Serie A side Napoli, joining them last year from French club Stade Reims.

The midfielder, famous for winning the Danish Superliga title with Midtjylland before his move to France, expressed his enthusiasm for the new chapter. “It took a little while with the negotiations but I’m finally here and I’m very excited," Cajuste said in a statement.

According to Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna, Cajuste's arrival bolsters the club's midfield options. “He gives us another different profile to our midfield and puts us in a strong position in that department,” McKenna stated.

Ipswich is set to face Manchester City in their upcoming Premier League match on Saturday, following a 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool in their season opener.
