Kaden Groves outsprinted Wout van Aert to clinch the victory in Stage 14 of the Vuelta a Espana on Saturday, marking the Australian's second triumph in this year's race.

The 200.5km stage from Villafranca Del Bierzo to Villablino concluded with a thrilling bunch sprint. Groves, representing Alpecin-Deceuninck, edged out Van Aert, who was chasing his fourth stage win.

New Zealand's Corbin Strong (Israel-Premier Tech) secured third place, mirroring the outcome of stage two where Groves also bested Van Aert. Ben O'Connor of Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale maintained his overall lead, keeping the red leader's jersey, with a 1:21 minute gap over Slovenia's Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).

An early six-rider breakaway was controlled by the peloton and reeled in on the final climb, setting the stage for the dramatic sprint finish. Sunday's Stage 15 will cover a 143km route from Infiesto to Valgrande-Pajares.
