Seasoned Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane marked a milestone with his 40th First-Class century, notching a brilliant 192-ball 102 for Leicestershire in their match against Glamorgan on Sunday.

Partnering with Australian Peter Handscomb, who remained unbeaten on 94 at lunch on the final day's play, Rahane played a crucial role in the battle to avoid defeat. Their fourth-wicket partnership yielded 183 runs, a vital effort following Colin Ingram's impressive 257 not out for Glamorgan.

Despite the challenging position of 74/3 when Rahane arrived at the crease, his composed innings, featuring 13 fours and a six, kept Leicestershire's hopes alive. Rahane eventually fell to Kiran Carlson after crossing the century mark with successive boundaries off the cut shot.
