The Seattle Seahawks placed strong safety Delano Hill on injured reserve Tuesday due to a fractured hip. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Hill sustained a non-displaced fracture during the team's Sunday win over the Arizona Cardinals. "He's got a crack in his hip that he can get around on it, but he's not going to be able to play with that," Carroll told reporters. Free safety Tedric Thompson is slated to return to the lineup Saturday for the Seahawks' NFC wild-card game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Bradley McDougald will move back to strong safety with Hill out. Thompson started 10 games at free safety this season. He missed the past two games with chest and ankle injuries. Seattle re-signed receiver Malik Turner from the practice squad to fill the roster opening. Turner has two catches for 20 yards in six games this season.
