Abhay Hadap emerged victorious in the MCA Secretary elections, defeating Sachin Tendulkar-backed candidate Suraj Samat. Hadap secured 196 votes, while Samat received 141 out of 337 ballots cast.

Hadap, who succeeds Ajinkya Naik as MCA Secretary, has over three decades of experience organizing cricket tournaments in Mumbai. Naik was recently elected president following the demise of former president Amol Kale in June.

Hadap expressed gratitude to the maidan club secretaries and cricketers, highlighting that his win represents a common man's victory. He aims to collaborate with the MCA Apex Council and President Ajinkya Naik to serve and improve Mumbai cricket in his one-year term.
