Musheer Khan and Navdeep Saini showcased stellar performances on the second day of the Duleep Trophy, stealing the limelight with their marathon partnership and impressive bowling. India A, led by Shubman Gill, and India B, helmed by Abhimanyu Easwaran, displayed commendable tenacity on the field in Bengaluru.
The duo of Musheer and Navdeep, continuing their stand from 94/7, ended day one at 202/7 and showed no intentions of slowing down. Musheer reached the 150-run milestone, eventually falling for a brilliant 181. Their partnership of 205 runs set a strong foundation, allowing India B to post a total of 321 runs.
Facing a challenging target, India A started strong but was soon hindered by Navdeep's dual strikes, reducing them to 66/2. A resilient partnership between Riyan Parag and KL Rahul saw India A end the day at 134/2, trailing by 187 runs. Meanwhile, in Anantpur, India C and D engaged in a fierce battle, with half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer and Devdutt Padikkal placing India D ahead by 202 runs.
