Hyundai's Thierry Neuville clinched victory at the Acropolis Rally on Sunday, extending his world championship lead to 34 points after title rival Sebastien Ogier rolled his Toyota during the final stage in Greece.
Spanish team mate Dani Sordo finished second while Ott Tanak completed the podium, ensuring a triumphant lockout for the South Korean manufacturer in the Lamia-based event.
Neuville, who had a commanding lead of over a minute before the final stage, marked his second win of the season, following his Monte Carlo victory in January. Hyundai now leads Toyota by 35 points in the standings with three rounds remaining. Ogier's mishap occurred 1.6km into the 18.2km final Power Stage, but despite rolling his car, he managed to secure 13 points up to Saturday.
