Gary Kirsten, Pakistan's white-ball head coach, called for a unified brand of cricket in both domestic and international formats during a meeting with mentors and head coaches at the Champions Cup in Faisalabad. The event saw participation from cricket stalwarts like Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis.

Sources informed Geo News that discussions centered on various cricketing aspects with high-performance coach David Reid and Director of High Performance Nadeem Khan. Kirsten encouraged the coaches and mentors to leverage their experience to enhance players' performance and stressed the importance of sharing knowledge and learning from each other's experiences.

Kirsten will stay in Faisalabad to monitor and evaluate players' performances, with an eye on the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year. Amidst talks of Babar Azam potentially being replaced by Rizwan as the white-ball captain, Kirsten aims to find the right balance for the team. His tenure saw mixed results with rain-affected series against England and a challenging T20 World Cup campaign.

Pakistan faced early setbacks in the T20 World Cup but bounced back with wins against Canada and Ireland, although they missed out on the Super 8 stage. With a significant gap before their next white-ball series against Australia in November, the management has ample time to refine strategies for future success.
