Ravindra Jadeja, lauded as a complete package on the field, has reached the landmark of 300 Test wickets and 3000 runs, said India’s bowling coach Morke Morkel on Monday.

Jadeja, aged 35, achieved this feat in 74 Tests, making him the second fastest to do so, just behind England's Ian Botham.

Jadeja's 300th wicket came against Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud during a rain-affected Test match. Morkel commended Jadeja's consistent all-round performance, pairing effectively with Ravichandran Ashwin to control matches.

Morkel highlighted the importance of Jadeja's ability to limit scoring opportunities, contributing significantly to India's cricketing success. Despite bad weather affecting playtime, Morkel praised the Indian team's professionalism and readiness.

He was impressed by the team’s fitness regime, their adaptability during the game, and the aggressive yet strategic approach by the Indian batters, notably Rishabh Pant. Morkel emphasized the team's flexibility in various match situations as a crucial advantage.

The coach expressed admiration for the Indian squad's commitment to preparation, recovery, and overall fitness, which he considers as paramount to their impressive performances.
