Manav Thakkar set the tone with an upset over Kazakhstan's top player, followed by a solid performance from veteran Sharath Kamal, who eased past Aidos Kenzhigulov.
The decisive moment came as Harmeet Desai found his rhythm to win the final match, securing India's place in the semifinals and ensuring a bronze finish. Meanwhile, India's women also concluded their campaign with a historic bronze after falling to Japan.
