In a landmark cricket match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rachin Ravindra's stellar play propelled New Zealand to an eight-wicket triumph over India. This victory marks the Black Caps' first Test win on Indian soil in 36 years, cementing Ravindra as the Player of the Match.

Ravindra's influential innings of 134 runs in the first innings positioned the Kiwis with a formidable 356-run lead after dismantling India’s batting lineup, which was held to a mere 46. His achievement not only contributed significantly to the win but also broke a 12-year drought for New Zealand centuries in India last accomplished by Ross Taylor.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma lauded Ravindra’s natural gameplay, crediting him for tackling India’s spinners with proficiency and flair. Rohit also reminisced about Ollie Pope's impressive 196-run feat against India, underscoring the potential for visiting teams to put pressure on home bowlers. The eagerly awaited second Test starts on October 24.
