India advanced to the semifinals of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup on Monday, thanks to a resounding seven-wicket victory over the UAE. The Indian cricket team showcased their dominance with impressive performances both with the ball and the bat.
After choosing to bat first, UAE fell short as Indian bowlers restricted them to 107 runs in 16.5 overs. Seamer Rasikh Salam took three crucial wickets, earning him the Player of the Match title, as India efficiently dismantled UAE's batting lineup.
Chasing a modest target, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma dazzled with a quickfire 58 off 24 balls. With Ayush Badoni sealing the win in style, India achieved their second consecutive win, following their thrilling victory over Pakistan. The team now leads Group B and is set to face Oman next.
