Premier doubles player Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden have clinched a coveted spot in the ATP Finals, an event marking Bopanna's fourth appearance on this prestigious stage. Their entry was assured after the elimination of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow at the Rolex Paris Masters, confirming the lineup for 2024.
The elite competition in Turin will feature top-ranked duos globally, including Bopanna and Ebden. This season has been significant for them, launching with a win at the Australian Open, with Bopanna becoming the oldest man to claim the world No. 1 at 43 years, 331 days. They later added the Miami Open title to their accomplishments, alongside reaching the Adelaide final and Roland Garros semi-finals.
This will be Bopanna and Ebden's second consecutive year qualifying for the ATP Finals. They previously reached the semi-finals in Turin in 2023, before being overcome by Granollers and Zeballos. For Bopanna, the upcoming event holds particular significance as he aims for his first ATP Finals title, having been a finalist twice before.
