The 33-year-old achieved his career-best figures of 5 for 17 in a losing effort against South Africa, highlighting his readiness for the international stage.

Chakaravarthy expressed the challenges he faced, stating, 'The last three years were a little tough. Playing a lot of cricket, especially in the domestic league (TNPL), helped me understand my game better.' The spinner was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL-winning team this year, under Gambhir's leadership.
