Report: OKC's Noel has concussion after fall
Oklahoma City Thunder center Nerlens Noel sustained a concussion but appears to have escaped additional injuries after his head violently hit the court Tuesday night after he fell defending a third-quarter play by Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins. The Athletic reported Wednesday morning that tests showed he didn't break any bones. He was knocked unconscious but was alert when he was taken off the court on a stretcher. He will continue to undergo further evaluations, according to the report.
NHL roundup: Senators snap 8-game skid
In a battle of teams looking to get back on track, Colin White scored 1:34 into overtime as the visiting Ottawa Senators ended their eight-game losing streak Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. The New York Jets are aiming high to fill their defensive coordinator position under reported new coach Adam Gase, considering a trio of former head coaches for the role, including Gregg Williams, multiple outlets reported Thursday. Williams was just let go by the Cleveland Browns earlier this week when the club named Freddie Kitchens its new head coach. Williams went 5-3 as the interim coach in Cleveland after Hue Jackson was fired at midseason. Williams was also head coach in Buffalo from 2001-03.

Eleven house searches were carried out in Spain and 167,000 euros in cash were seized, along with a shotgun, more than 50 electronic devices, credit cards, five luxury vehicles and documentation related to the case. Forty-two bank accounts have been frozen.
McLaren appoint ex-Porsche boss as F1 managing director
McLaren announced on Thursday the appointment of former Porsche Le Mans team boss Andreas Seidl as managing director of their Formula One team. They said in a statement that the 46-year-old German will report to chief executive Zak Brown and have responsibility for all aspects of the team’s F1 racing program when he starts later this year.
