Following a resounding 184-run triumph over India in the Boxing-Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australian captain Pat Cummins reassured fans about left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc's condition on Monday. With this victory, Australia seized a 2-1 advantage in the series.
The defeat at Melbourne dealt a significant blow to India's prospects of reaching the World Test Championship Final at Lord's. Cummins expressed confidence in Starc's recovery, indicating that the bowler is battling some soreness but remains a steadfast option in the lineup.
Apart from addressing Starc's status, Cummins also commented on teammate Travis Head's light-hearted celebration after dismissing Rishabh Pant, highlighting the camaraderie within the team.
