Eddie Jordan's Consortium Reignites London Irish Rugby

A consortium led by former Formula One team owner and Irish businessman Eddie Jordan has acquired the London Irish rugby club. This announcement comes over a year after the Premiership team faced suspension, unable to meet financial obligations to its players.

The club entered administration following its suspension in June 2023. Jordan rallied investors to form the Jordan Associates, setting out to restore the team's standing in rugby. Both the club and Jordan aim to collaborate closely with the supporter base for a robust comeback.

While financial details remain undisclosed, the consortium's goal is to reach out to the global Irish community to strengthen the club's brand. Known for their history of success in the RFU Championship, London Irish moved their base to Brentford's home ground in 2020.
