Chelsea faces a challenge as their striker, Nicolas Jackson, is expected to miss up to two months following a hamstring injury, manager Enzo Maresca announced on Thursday.

Maresca also shared that an alternative player, Marc Guiu, is dealing with a similar hamstring issue, which leaves Christopher Nkunku as the prime candidate to spearhead Chelsea's forward line. Jackson had to be substituted early during the second half of Chelsea's 2-1 victory over West Ham on February 3.

Initially, the team believed Jackson's injury was minor, as his response seemed promising. However, a recent scan revealed the injury's severity, leading to an expected recovery period of six to eight weeks.
