The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Friday a significant 53 per cent increase in the prize money for the Champions Trophy, raising the winners' share to USD 2.24 million for the upcoming edition in Pakistan and UAE.
The runners-up will earn USD 1.12 million, while each losing semi-finalist will pocket USD 560,000. The total prize pool has been boosted to USD 6.9 million.
This substantial increase underscores the ICC's commitment to enhancing the sport's global prestige, as noted by ICC chairman Jay Shah.
