In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth emerged victorious at the Maha Open ATP Challenger. The duo defeated the second-seeded Australian pair, Blake Bayldon and Matthew Christopher Romios, with scores of 3-6, 6-3, and 10-0 to clinch the doubles title.
This victory marks the first title together for Jeevan and Prashanth, while for Prashanth, it's a notable third title win in Pune. Their triumph at the tournament earned them a monetary prize of Rs 7 lakh and contributed 100 ATP points, consequently boosting their world rankings to 94th and 104th positions, respectively.
In other highlights from the tournament, sixth seed American Brandon Holt, currently ranked 153rd globally, took down eighth-seeded Alexis Galarneau of Canada with a 7-5, 6-4 scoreline in the singles semifinals. Holt is set to compete against unseeded Dalibor Svrcina of the Czech Republic in the final.
