Delhi Police successfully dismantled an online cricket betting operation on the India-Pakistan match, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.
Following a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in Malviya Nagar, apprehending Ayan (32) and Nizam alias Bhutto (45), who were reportedly using an online platform to facilitate bets, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan.
The police seized betting equipment and discovered that the suspects had managed bets amounting to Rs 13 lakh. An FIR has been lodged, and further investigations into the illegal operation are currently underway.
