Australian Grand Prix organisers have announced the return of the post-race track walk for fans at Albert Park, after a year-long ban. This tradition, halted last year due to a crowd invasion, allows fans to get close to drivers on the podium.

During the 2023 event, fans breached security and accessed the track, reaching Nico Hulkenberg’s stranded Haas car. In response, approval from authorities has been secured, and the track walk is set to resume with enhanced safety protocols.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Travis Auld, expressed excitement about welcoming this tradition back for the 2025 season opener on March 16. Last year, the event attracted a record attendance of 452,055 spectators over its four-day duration.
