Skipper Rohit Sharma has praised India's spin attack for their crucial contributions to the team's successful campaign in the Champions Trophy, held in Dubai. The team opted not to travel to host Pakistan, due to political tensions between the countries, and instead played on the spin-friendly pitches of Dubai.

In a low-scoring final, India restricted New Zealand to 251-7, achieving victory with one over remaining. The Indian spin quartet—Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja—delivered a combined spell of 38 overs, conceding merely 144 runs while taking five wickets.

Chakravarthy emerged as a standout performer, with five wickets in the group stage and two in the final. New Zealand's skipper, Mitchell Santner, acknowledged the challenge posed by India's world-class spinners, noting their impact during the middle overs.
