Batting Coach Mohammad Yousuf Withdraws from New Zealand Tour

Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan's batting coach, has exited the tour to New Zealand due to his daughter's illness. The Pakistan Cricket Board will not announce a replacement. Aaqib Javed will continue as interim head coach for the tour. Yousuf, a former captain, is a senior coach at the PCB's national academy.

Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan's batting coach, has withdrawn from the upcoming tour to New Zealand following his daughter's illness. Formerly appointed to guide the team, Yousuf informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of his decision to step down.

No replacement will be provided for Yousuf as the squad is set to depart for New Zealand shortly. The tour comprises five T20 Internationals and three ODIs, and Yousuf was the sole new addition to the support staff after a disappointing Champions Trophy.

PCB has retained Aaqib Javed as the interim head coach for the duration of the tour with Azhar Mahmood as the assistant coach. Post-tour, PCB plans to advertise for a permanent head coach as part of its efforts to stabilize the team's leadership.
