Batting sensation Shubman Gill, a pivotal figure in India's historic Champions Trophy victory, was welcomed by enthusiastic fans as he arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday. The vice-captain, recognized for his essential role in the team's unbeaten campaign, sported a black shirt and shades while greeting the crowd.

In the tense final against New Zealand on Sunday, Gill and Indian captain Rohit Sharma formed a formidable partnership. Sharma took the aggressive lead as India secured a four-wicket triumph against the Kiwis, successfully chasing a 252-run target in front of a packed Dubai stadium.

The opening duo's 105-run stand set the chase in motion until Glenn Phillips' one-handed catch concluded Gill's innings at 31(50). Across five tournament matches, Gill scored 188 runs, boasting an impressive unbeaten 101. Meanwhile, Harshit Rana and head coach Gautam Gambhir returned to Delhi applauding the team's brilliant efforts.

Rohit Sharma also arrived in Mumbai, praised for his exceptional 76-run performance which earned him the Player of the Match title. His innings included seven boundaries and three sixes, further cementing India's hold on the ICC trophy.
