Indian golfer Karandeep Kochhar wowed spectators with a bogey-free final round of 7-under 65 at the Morocco Rising Stars Marrakech but narrowly missed the top spot. Ultimately, he signed off as the runner-up, just one stroke behind champion Aidric Chan from the Philippines.
Kochhar, seeking his first professional win outside India, concluded his tournament at 17-under with rounds of 70-67-69-65. Meanwhile, Chan's final round mirrored Kochhar's 7-under 65, propelling him to an 18-under total, securing the victory at the Samanah Golf Club.
The tournament also saw strong performances from other Indian golfers with Ajeetesh Sandhu at 12-under (T-13) and Khalin Joshi at 9-under (T-34). Aidric Chan's victory also earned him a spot in next month's International Series Morocco with a USD 2 million prize pool.
