Khelo Bharat Niti, taking over from the outdated 2001 policy, aims to transform the sports ecosystem, integrating it with economic and social development goals. This comprehensive plan stresses grassroots sports culture, improved infrastructure, and a governance framework, with the goal of thrusting India into the top five world sporting nations by 2047.
The policy integrates sports with tourism and economic development to create a lasting impact on India's sporting achievements.
