The 15th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship commenced with exhilarating victories from several teams, setting an exciting tone for the tournament. Jammu & Kashmir triumphed over Raj. with a resounding 4-0 win. Gurkirat Singh scored the inaugural goal in the match's initial moments, followed by goals from Varunpreet Singh, Jasjot Singh, and Daksh Sharma.
Not far behind, the Hockey Association of Bihar eked out a narrow 2-1 victory against Hockey Mizoram. Ajay Kushwaha and Amritanshu Pandey secured the goals for Bihar, while Mizoram's Laldampuia Pachuau managed a consolation score. In another decisive win, Hockey Uttarakhand overwhelmed Tripura with a 4-0 victory, orchestrated by Krishna's early brace.
Meanwhile, in Division 'B', Hockey Gujarat celebrated a 5-1 triumph over Hockey Arunachal, thanks to key contributions from Divyeshbhai Rudhyanbai Wagh, Vijay Parmar, and Captain Piyush Patel. Additionally, Chhattisgarh Hockey dominated Goans Hockey with a 4-0 victory, highlighted by Aadrsh Raj Singh's two goals.
